A.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this
chapter shall be subject to a fine of not more than $250 or to imprisonment
for a period not to exceed 15 days for each such violation, or to
both such fine and imprisonment, except when a punishment is expressly
prescribed in such provision. Unless otherwise provided, each day
on which a violation occurs shall be deemed a separate violation for
the purposes of this chapter.
B.
Any person turning on or off the water on any main
or service pipe, reservoir or hydrant, except hydrants in cases of
fire, without permission or order from the Town Engineer or his or
her designee, shall be subject to a fine of not more than $250 or
to imprisonment for a period not exceeding 15 days for each such violation,
or to both such fine and imprisonment.
