A.
The owner, tenant, occupant or other person having
charge of a dwelling, store, building or lot in the Borough shall,
within 24 hours after the cessation of every fall of snow, slush or
sleet, or formation of ice upon the sidewalk abutting any dwelling,
store, building or lot, cause the snow, slush, sleet or ice to be
removed from the sidewalk to a width of at least 18 inches.
No one shall throw, place or deposit snow or
ice into or on any street or road within the Borough, it being the
intent of this section to prohibit all persons from throwing, casting,
shoveling, placing or depositing snow and ice which has accumulated
in any manner within or on private property.
No person shall hinder, molest or interfere
with any person, agent or employee of the Borough who is authorized
to remove or plow snow or ice from the streets and sidewalks of the
Borough while such person is in the act of removing or plowing snow
or ice.[1]
Violation of any of the provisions of this article shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article I, General Penalty. Each violation of the terms of this article, whether the same shall occur on the same day or succeeding days, shall be deemed to be an individual violation hereof.
