A code regulating facilities and other physical things and conditions essential to make dwellings safe, sanitary and fit for human habitation; governing the conditions of dwellings; authorizing inspections of dwellings; and fixing penalties for violations thereof is hereby established. A copy of the code is made a part hereof, without the inclusion of the text herein.

The code established and adopted by this chapter is described and commonly known as the "New Jersey State Housing Code," as set forth in N.J.A.C. 5:28-1 et seq., as amended and supplemented.

Three copies of the appropriate sections of the New Jersey State Housing Code, as amended and supplemented, have been placed on file in the office of the Secretary of the Board of Health for use and examination by the public.
