[Adopted 12-8-2003, effective 1-3-2004]
A.
The Town Council of the Town of Mansfield finds that:
(1)
The unregulated possession of alcoholic liquor by
minors is detrimental to the general welfare, health and safety of
all residents of Mansfield, especially to its youth; and
(2)
The consumption of alcohol by minors while unsupervised
by a parental authority creates not only a health and safety risk
to those young persons, but presents a public nuisance to the general
public as well.
B.
Therefore, the Town of Mansfield seeks to protect,
preserve and promote the health, safety, welfare and quality of life
of all its residents by regulating the possession of alcohol by minors.
