A.
The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the
protection of valuable Town park lands along the south shore of Oneida
Lake, for the proper, orderly and environmentally beneficial development
of lands adjacent to park lands along the south shore of Oneida Lake,
and for economic development within the Town of Sullivan.
B.
This chapter is enacted pursuant to the provisions
of the Statute of Local Governments and § 10 of the Municipal
Home Rule Law.
C.
This chapter applies to lands within the Town of Sullivan,
outside the Village of Chittenango.
The acquisition of one or more parcels of land
for the purposes stated in this chapter shall be and hereby is deemed
to be for a public purpose.
The Town Board may from time to time identify
one or more parcels of land for the public purposes stated in this
chapter and designate the parcel or parcels of land subject to the
provisions of this chapter by appropriate action.
The Town Board may from time to time acquire
one or more parcels of land for the public purposes stated in this
chapter, as are identified and designated as provided herein, in accordance
with the Town Law and the other applicable laws of the State of New
York.
