The Building Inspector is hereby authorized and empowered to make inspections in multiple dwellings, apartment houses and business structures, including but not limited to office buildings, so as to determine, among other things:
A.
Operating condition of boilers and devices connected therewith.
B.
Operating condition of oil and/or gas burners and devices connected therewith.
C.
Operating condition of incinerators and devices connected therewith.
D.
Operating condition of compactors and devices connected therewith.
E.
Fire and safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, fire escapes and sprinkler systems.
F.
Operating condition of elevators and all apparatus used in connection therewith.
G.
Whether or not the multiple dwellings, apartment houses and business structures, including but not limited to office buildings, comply with the pertinent provisions of the Village Zoning Ordinance,[1] this Building Code and any other rules and regulations pertaining to the construction, maintenance and occupancy of said structures.
H.
Whether or not the aforesaid structures comply with Nassau County and/or Town of North Hempstead codes, rules and regulations, insofar as the same are applicable to buildings and structures in the Village.
