The Housing Commission, heretofore established pursuant to Act No. 18 of the Public Acts of 1933 (Ex. Sess.), as amended,[1] is hereby continued.

The Housing Commission shall consist of five persons.
Members of the Housing Commission shall represent, insofar as possible, different professions or occupations.
Members of the Housing Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to approval by a majority vote of Council.
Each member of the Housing Commission shall serve for a term of five years or until his or her successor takes office.
Members of the Housing Commission shall serve without compensation.
Members of the Housing Commission may be removed from office by the Mayor.
Vacancies on the Housing Commission shall be filled for the unexpired term of the member whose seat has become vacant in the same manner as original appointments are made to such Commission.
