A. 
No person(s) shall show forth, exhibit, act, represent or perform or cause to be shown forth, exhibited, acted, represented or performed on any public stage, public place or on private grounds within the limits of the Borough of Hampton any interludes, farces, plays of any kind or any games, tricks, juggling, sleight of hand or any feats of uncommon dexterity and agility of body or mind or any circuses, shows, exhibitions or musical or oratorical shows whatsoever without first having obtained a license for that purpose.
B. 
It shall not be lawful for any person to show forth or exhibit in any place within the Borough of Hampton, whether for free or for a fee or donation, any menagerie or collection of beasts or animals or circus show or exhibitions, concerts or plays without a license obtained for that purpose.
A standing committee of two members of the Council, plus the Mayor, shall be appointed at the annual reorganization meeting by the Mayor. This committee shall review each application covered by this chapter and report to the full Council with a recommendation to either grant or deny said application. The application must be approved by a two-thirds majority vote of the Council. Before any such license shall take effect, a fee shall be paid to the Borough of $50 for not-for-profit events and $250 for profit events, except that the fees may be waived by unanimous vote of the Council. Fees waived by the Council shall be in the best interest of the public. Any license granted under this chapter shall specify the time, place, number of days and frequency of the event.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be punishable by a fine not exceeding $2,000, imprisonment for a period not exceeding 90 days and/or a period of community service not exceeding 90 days.
