A. 
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:14-118, the Business Administrator, in his or her capacity as the appropriate authority, shall adopt and promulgate rules and regulations for the government of the Law Enforcement Department and for the discipline of its members, after consideration of the recommendations by the Chief of Police.
B. 
All rules and regulations promulgated by the Business Administrator shall be distributed via the Power Document Management System (DMS) to members of the Department. Members shall acknowledge receipt of the rules and regulations by entering their electronic signature in DMS. The acknowledgment shall be time and date stamped by DMS and retained by the Department in electronic format to memorialize the member’s receipt of same.

C. 
Such rules or regulations, including amendments thereto, shall not take effect until 30 days after posting.

A. 
The rules and regulations and the policies and procedures of the Department shall be maintained in electronic form under the direction of the Business Administrator. All employees of the Department shall comply with the rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
B. 
An electronic copy of the rules and regulations and the policies and procedures of the Department shall be maintained in the following locations:
(1) 
Office of the Business Administrator.
(2) 
Office of the Chief of Police.
(3) 
Watch Commander's office.
(4) 
Office of Professional Standards.
C. 
A copy of the rules and regulations and the policies and procedures of the Department shall be maintained in electronic form, online, on the Department computer network and will be available to all Department employees.
