The Township of Toms River, in the County of Ocean, hereby establishes
the following paid municipal swim clubs and swimming pools under the
supervision of the Department of Recreation:
A.Â
Snug Harbor Public Pool.
A.Â
The Director of Recreation shall establish operating times and dates
for the Snug Harbor Municipal Swimming Pool.
B.Â
The Director of Recreation is hereby authorized to annually establish
fees for the use of the Municipal Swimming Pool. All fees established
pursuant to this provision, and any increases or reductions thereto,
must be approved by the Business Administrator, the Chief Financial
Officer, and by resolution of the Township Council.

A.Â
The following rules and regulations are hereby made and established
for the proper and efficient operation and maintenance of the municipal
swim clubs and swimming pools, now and hereafter to be established,
in the Township of Toms River, in the County of Ocean:
(1)Â
No pushing, running or shoving in the pool area or related facilities
is permitted.
(2)Â
Food and beverages are to be kept and consumed in designated areas.
(3)Â
Individuals with shoulder-length hair or longer must wear bathing
caps.
(4)Â
No goggles or scuba equipment are permitted in the pool, nor objects
such as plastic balls, frisbees or rubber mats.
(5)Â
Children 12 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
(6)Â
Diving is permitted only in the pool diving area.
(7)Â
All lockers are to be emptied by the user prior to leaving the swimming
club or pool.
(8)Â
All bathers must be dressed and ready to leave the pool complex by
closing time.
(9)Â
No parking of motor vehicles is permitted at or on the pool complex
after hours, except authorized vehicles.
(10)Â
Proper swimming attire shall be required at all times. Cutoffs,
etc., are not permitted.
(11)Â
No individual shall litter, make unsightly, damage, destroy
or disfigure a pool complex or related facilities.
(12)Â
No individual shall make any loud noise, sound or music or use
loud, profane or indecent language which disturbs any individual in
the peaceful enjoyment of the facilities.
(13)Â
No individual shall dress or undress, except in designated areas.
(14)Â
No individual shall take or consume alcoholic beverages in the
pool area or related facilities.
(15)Â
No bare feet are permitted in any area other than the pool area.
(16)Â
No individual shall hawk, peddle, vend, sell or dispose of any
goods, wares, foodstuffs and/or merchandise.
(17)Â
The Township is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
(18)Â
No individual shall engage in any activity which will endanger
the health, safety, peace, comfort or enjoyment of any other person.
B.Â
Any individual violating the rules and regulations as hereinabove
set forth may be subject to expulsion from the pool facility and/or,
upon conviction by a court of competent jurisdiction, shall suffer
a penalty of not more than 30 days' imprisonment in the Ocean County
Jail or a fine of not more than $100, or both, at the Judge's discretion.
The Director of Recreation may, from time to time, alter the
opening or closing hours of a pool facility for special events and
establish emergency rules and regulations to protect the public property
and safety.
