Editor's Note: This ordinance repealed former Art. VI, Ortley
Beach Junior Lifeguard Program, adopted 6-25-1996 by Ord. No. 3179-96,
as amended.
There is hereby created the Ortley Beach Junior Lifeguard Program,
the objectives of which are to expose youngsters to safety in and
around water and to provide those youngsters with beach games, aquatic
activities, physical conditioning and competition on the junior lifeguard
level.
In order to participate in the Ortley Beach Junior Lifeguard
Program, the youngsters must be between the ages of 9 and 15, a good
swimmer and must demonstrate a willingness to exercise and listen,
as well as a desire to learn about aquatic safety in and around the
ocean.
