There is hereby established the position of a part-time Council on Affordable Housing (COAH) Coordinator.
The COAH Coordinator shall serve for a one-year term.
The COAH Coordinator shall be appointed to the position by nomination of the Mayor and Council with the advice and consent of the Council of the Borough of Palisades Park.
The annual salary for the COAH Coordinator shall be established and fixed by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Palisades Park through its Annual Salary Ordinance.[1]

It shall be the duty of the COAH Coordinator to collect and administer the fees for each construction, collect them, record them, and make deposits to the Tax Collector.
No person may be appointed as a COAH Coordinator unless, at a minimum, the person:
A. 
Is a resident of this stare during the term of appointment.
B. 
Is able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently.
C. 
Is of sound mind and in good health.
D. 
Is of good moral character.
E. 
Has not been convicted of any offense involving dishonesty or which would make the person unfit to perform the duties of his/her office.
F. 
Has significant experience in both construction and math skills to determine the necessary fees.
The COAH Coordinator need not be a resident of the Borough of Palisades Park.
