No person shall, in any park, playground or parking area, including
that devoted to school use, which is under the jurisdiction of the Park Commission
of the Town of North Haven:
A.
Enter, stay or loiter thereon from 1/2 hour after sunset
until sunrise except in those areas or for those activities authorized by
the Commission.
B.
Sell, offer or solicit for sale any goods, food, refreshments
or merchandise without permission from said Commission.
C.
Possess or consume any alcoholic beverages except when
and where permitted by said Commission.
D.
Play any organized music or use such areas for public
speaking except by permission of said Commission.
E.
Post plaster or affix any placard, notice or sign in
said areas without permission from said Commission.
F.
Gamble, bet or possess any instrument of gambling without
permission of said Commission.
G.
Use abusive, profane or indecent language or engage in
any conduct that may be offensive to the general public.
H.
Deface, remove or destroy any sign, notice, protective
device or other item of personal or real property, including trees, shrubs,
plants and landscaping.
I.
Hunt, trap or disturb any wildlife or use, carry or possess
any firearms, air rifles, spring guns, bows and arrows, slings or any kind
of trapping device or other weapons or explosives potentially dangerous to
wildlife and human safety.
J.
Operate any vehicle at a rate exceeding five miles per
hour, and in such event to drive such motor vehicle only on designated roads
and areas, and overnight parking is permitted without permission from the
Commission.
K.
Operate any motorcycles, minibikes, snowmobiles or other
such motorized vehicles in any area except where designated by said Commission.
L.
Drive or propel a bicycle except on roads, sidewalks
or footpaths, unless otherwise designated.
M.
Light, kindle or use any fire except in picnic areas,
and then only in grills or areas provided and designated by said Commission.
N.
Erect any tent or camp or live in any park or recreation
area without permission of the Commission.
O.
Wade, swim or use a boat or floating device of any kind
in any pond, brook, lake or river under the control of the town except at
such times and in such areas as may be designated by said Commission.
P.
Fish in any pond, brook, lake or river except in those
areas as designated by said Commission.
Q.
Ice skate or play baseball, basketball, football or golf
or other sports activities except in those areas approved and designated by
said Commission.
R.
Permit or allow a dog to run on such property except
when kept on a leash and under the control of a responsible person and only
in those areas designated by said Commission.
S.
Allow any horse to graze or go unattended on said property
or to ride a horse only on designated bridle paths.
Any motor vehicle, motorcycle, minibike, bicycle or other pleasure vehicle
violating any of the above regulations may be towed and removed by the police
at the owner's expense.
Any person found guilty of violating any of the above offenses may be
fined not more than $50 for each such offense.
The invalidity of any section, provision or portion of this ordinance
shall not be construed to invalidate any other section, provision or portion
thereof.
