It shall be unlawful for any railroad company, its officers, agents or employees, or any receiver or trustee operating a railroad, to leave standing or parked for more than 10 minutes any standing cars, engine or other portion of a train or railway equipment within 200 feet of any public street or road crossing such railway within the corporate limits of the Town of Mineral. Each hour that any such railroad car, train or other equipment shall be left standing or parked shall be considered a separate offense, and violation of this section, for each separate offense, shall be punished in accordance with § 1-3 of this Code.

All railroad grade crossings that cross any street or highway that is a part of the highway system of the Virginia Department of Transportation shall be guarded by gates or signal lights to be provided, erected and maintained by the railroad company, and unless such crossing is guarded by automatic control gates the operator of any locomotive or diesel engine passing or approaching such crossing in the corporate limits of the Town or Mineral shall sound a bell, whistle or horn as is provided in § 56-414 of the Code of Virginia, the same as is therein provided for crossings outside of cities and towns.

The maximum rate of speed at which railroad locomotives may be moved within the Town is 25 miles an hour.
