Nothing contained herein shall require any change
in the plans, construction, size or designated use of any building,
structure, or part thereof for which a building permit has been granted
or for which plans were on file with the Town Council before this
chapter becomes effective and the construction of which from such
plans shall have been started within 30 days after this chapter becomes
effective, except that if the building operation in question is discontinued
for a period of not less than six months, any further construction
shall be in conformity with the provisions of this chapter.
Where the provisions of this chapter are in
conflict with existing statutes, local ordinances, or regulations;
the most restrictive provisions of any of the above shall govern.
