GENERAL REFERENCES
Police pension fund — See Ch. 57, Art II.
There is hereby established a Bureau of Police for the city which shall
consist of a Chief of Police, as designated by the Mayor, and such other officers
and members whose grades and compensation shall be established by Council.
All appointments to the Bureau of Police shall be in accordance with Article
XLIV (Civil Service) of the Third Class City Code.[1]

with such rules and regulations as are prescribed by law or as may be prescribed
by Council or the Director of Public Affairs.
