A. 
Payment for sewer system requirement and prerequisite prior to issuance of certificate of occupancy for construction of dwelling units:
(1) 
No certificate of occupancy shall hereafter be issued for new construction until the applicant pays to the city a sum set from time to time by the City Council for the purpose of trunk line extensions, lift stations, collective system enlargement and other general improvements of the overall sewer system of the City of Glen Cove.[1]

(2) 
For the purposes of this Part 2 a "dwelling unit" shall be defined as a dwelling, or one or more rooms with provisions for either living, cooking and/or sleeping facilities with private or semiprivate sanitary facilities.
(3) 
A single-family and a two-family house and multiple residences shall require a sewer fee as set from time to time by the City Council.[2] Each apartment contained within a multiple residence building shall be considered a dwelling unit.

(4) 
This Part 2 shall apply to all new construction whether on a single, contiguous or subdivision plot.
B. 
Payment for sewer system requirement prerequisite to issuance of certificate of occupancy for construction or addition to commercial, industrial, mercantile and institutional buildings:
(1) 
No certificate of occupancy shall hereafter be issued for construction of commercial, industrial, mercantile and institutional buildings until the applicant pays to the City of Glen Cove, for the purpose of trunk line extension, lift stations, collection systems enlargement and other general improvements of the overall sewer system of the City of Glen Cove, a fee set from time to time by the City Council.[3]

(2) 
The fee for installation of plumbing fixtures in an existing commercial, industrial, mercantile and institutional building shall be set from time to time by the City Council.[4]

The Controller shall deposit the sums received pursuant to § 225-111 in a separate fund which shall be expended only for the purpose of the enlargement, repairs and additions to the wastewater collection system.
