Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:49-5.1, the New Jersey State Housing Code, as currently approved by the Department of Community Affairs and filed in the office of the Secretary of State, is hereby accepted, adopted, and established in the Township of Montville.
Three copies of the New Jersey Housing Code have been placed on file in the office of the Clerk and shall remain on file there for the use and examination of the public.
Enforcement of this code shall be the responsibility of an appropriate Township employee so designated by the Township Administrator.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to such penalties as are provided for in Chapter 1, Article III, General Penalty.
