A. 
Full-time special grant employees and full-time temporary employees, other than temporary aides, shall be entitled to the benefits provided to permanent employees including overtime, paid holidays, vacations, special leave days, sick leave, hospital, medical, and major medical insurance benefits, longevity pay, and other benefits after completion of 90 days of service with the Borough of Dumont.
B. 
Employees working less than 35 hours per week and all elected and appointed Borough officials shall not be eligible for benefits as provided in this section, specifically including, but not limited to, hospital, medical, dental and major medical insurance benefits, and any other benefits not afforded to employees other than full-time employees as set forth in this chapter as made and provided from time to time.

A. 
The Borough Administrator may hire temporary employees to fill, on a temporary basis, a temporarily created position or a permanent position in which there is a vacancy created by the absence of an employee, and may also discharge such temporary employee.
B. 
The Borough Administrator may hire temporary aides to undertake assignments of an immediate and short-range character created by a special or extraordinary workload in a particular department. The Borough Administrator may assign such aides to any department within the Borough as he may deem warranted. Temporary aides may not be employed continuously for more than an eleven-month period. Temporary aides shall not receive any of the benefits provided to other employees of the Borough except that they shall be covered by workers' compensation. If a temporary aide should at any time be appointed to another position of employment with the Borough, any service as a temporary aide shall not be counted in calculations of past services.
