[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Delhi 5-10-1999 by L.L. No. 3-1999 (Ch. 20 of the 1979 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
GENERAL REFERENCES

No person or entity shall use, explode or cause to be exploded or sell any rockets, firecrackers, fireworks or other explosives of any kind or description within the Village of Delhi without a valid display permit.
The Mayor is designated the permit authority to grant and issue permits for the public display of fireworks, pursuant to and subject to the provisions of the New York State Penal Law § 405.00 or any subsequent statute granting such authority. Any person or entity applying to the Mayor for a permit shall submit to the Village all documents, certificates, bonds or other proofs necessary to demonstrate full compliance with the Penal Law.

The Trustees shall establish a fee for a fireworks permit which may be amended from time to time by resolution. The Village Clerk shall prepare and issue approved permits upon collection of the appropriate fee.
Any person or entity found in violation of this chapter shall be subject to the maximum fine allowed for violations under the laws of New York State.
