The Building Code Enforcement Officer or Officers, as previously designated by the Board of Trustees and as may be designated in the future, shall have authority to administer, to enforce, to prosecute violations and exercise all authority granted or implied by state law to enforcement officials with respect to the following chapters of the Code of the Village of Highland Falls. Said authority shall be in addition to, and not in lieu of, the authority of specific enforcement officers already set forth in a particular chapter.

A. 
Building Code Enforcement Officers of the Village of Highland Falls are authorized to issue and serve appearance tickets in connection with violations of state statutes, local laws or rules and regulations of the Village of Highland Falls.
B. 
An appearance ticket issued pursuant to this chapter shall be served personally.
C. 
A copy of the appearance ticket accompanied by an affidavit of service shall be delivered to the Justice Court Clerk prior to the appearance date.
