The Executive Branch of the government of Bradford Woods shall be vested in and administered by an elective executive, hereafter known as the "Mayor," who shall be the chief executive and administrative official of the municipality and the official head of the Borough government.
The Mayor shall be elected at large by the qualified voters of the municipality. The Mayor's term of office shall be four years, commencing the first Monday following the year in which he or she is elected, except any Mayor appointed to fill a vacancy shall serve for the balance of the unexpired term. The election for Mayor shall be held on municipal election day.
The Mayor shall hold no other municipal office or municipal employment in which he or she receives salary, compensation or emolument.
In the event of temporary absence or incapacity, the President of Council shall serve as the Acting Mayor. The Acting Mayor shall have all the powers and duties of the Mayor except the power to veto.
A. 
Execute and enforce all resolutions and ordinances of the Council.
B. 
Exercise the power to veto as set forth in this Charter.
C. 
Attend meetings of Council and its committees and have an equal right to participate in their deliberations, except that the Mayor shall have no right to vote on any matter before the Council other than to cast a tie-breaking vote.
D. 
Assure that the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania relating to the affairs and government of the Borough are duly executed and enforced within the municipality.
E. 
Present to the Council from time to time such information concerning the business and affairs of the Borough as the Mayor may deem necessary, or as the Council by resolution may request, and to recommend such measures for legislative action as may be in the best interests of the Borough.
F. 
Appoint and dissolve from time to time voluntary committees of citizens to assist and advise the Mayor on issues and matters pertaining to the office of Mayor.
G. 
Have all necessary incidental powers to perform and exercise any of the duties and functions as set forth in this Charter or lawfully delegated to the Mayor.
