The Building Official or his or her agents, so designated in writing, shall have authority, pursuant to Act 366 of the Public Acts of 1984, as amended, to issue and serve upon a person appearance tickets if the Building Official or his or her designated agents have reasonable cause to believe that the person has committed an offense under any of the following ordinances:
A. 
The Michigan Building Code;
B. 
The Blight Ordinance;
C. 
The Zoning Ordinance;
D. 
The Michigan Plumbing Code;
E. 
The Michigan Mechanical Code;
F. 
The Michigan Electrical Code;
G. 
The Michigan Residential Code;
H. 
The Michigan Rehabilitation Code for Existing Buildings;
I. 
The International Property Maintenance Code.
The Fire Chief or his or her agents, so designated in writing, shall have the authority, pursuant to Act 366 of the Public Acts of 1984, as amended, to issue and serve upon a person appearance tickets if the Fire Chief or his or her designated agents have reasonable cause to believe that the person has committed an offense under the International Fire Code, as adopted under Chapter 345, Fire Prevention, Article I, International Fire Code, of the Code of the City of Monroe.
