GENERAL REFERENCES
Fire prevention and building construction — See Ch. 98.
Any Village of Phoenix officer or employee present at any fire scene
at which the Village of Phoenix Fire Department is operating shall immediately
report to the officer in charge at such fire scene and shall follow the directions
of such officer in charge while present at such fire scene.

It shall be the policy of the Village of Phoenix Fire Department to
reimburse members of Enterprise Fire Company No. 1 for the damage to or loss
of any member-owned equipment damaged or destroyed in the execution of that
member's duties or responsibilities as a fire fighter, upon the following
terms and conditions:

Any member desiring to use his or her own equipment in
the performance of his or her duties as a member of Enterprise Fire Company
No. 1 shall register the equipment with the Village of Phoenix Fire Department,
providing the following information:

Any member desiring to use his or her own equipment in
the performance of his or her duties as a member of Enterprise Fire Company
No. 1 shall sign a release acknowledging that he or she has elected to use
his or her own equipment in the performance of his or her duties as a member
of Enterprise Fire Company No. 1 and will hold the Village of Phoenix Fire
Department harmless from such use.
C.
Any member having so registered his or her own equipment
and having said equipment damaged or destroyed as a result of its use in the
performance of his or her duties as a member of Enterprise Fire Company No.
1 shall be reimbursed for such damage or loss upon the following terms and
conditions:
(1)
The member certifies that the equipment has been damaged
in the performance of his or her duties, showing the date, time and place
of damage, and the equipment is surrendered to the Village of Phoenix Fire
Department.
(2)
The member certifies that the equipment has been destroyed
in the performance of his or her duties, showing the date, time and place
of loss.
(3)
Upon such certification and/or surrender of such damaged
or destroyed equipment, the said member shall be reimbursed the lesser amount
of:

Damaged equipment for which a member has been reimbursed
under this policy shall become the property of the Village of Phoenix Fire
Department.
