The Police Department of the Village of Phoenix, New York, established under § 188 of the Village Law of the State of New York be and hereby is abolished.
Pursuant to § 8-800 (formerly § 188-a) of the Village Law of the State of New York, as amended, there is hereby established for the Village of Phoenix, New York, a Police Department under and in accordance with said section of the Village Law.
All appointments to said Police Department shall be made pursuant to § 8-800 (formerly § 188-a) of the Village Law of the State of New York by the Board of Trustees.
