All private roads that are to be considered for acceptance by the Town as public highways shall be laid out in accordance with the provisions of MGL c. 82, §§ 21 through 23, inclusive, as amended, which statute requires they shall be bounded according to the plan, showing descriptions of the widths and lengths of the layout.

Such streets shall meet the street, shoulder and sidewalk construction requirements and specifications of the "Rules and Regulations Governing the Subdivision of Land, Sterling, Massachusetts," latest revision.
