The Town Board of the Town of Athens, pursuant to
§ 103, Subdivision 3, of the General Municipal Law, shall
participate in the purchase of equipment, supplies, etc., also highway
materials as listed, black top, road oil, crushed stone, salt, sand,
gas, etc., also tires, batteries, etc., at the bid and contracted
price accepted by the County of Greene for such highway materials,
equipment, supplies, etc.
The Town Board of the Town of Athens shall assume
the sole responsibility for the payment of such purchases made by
the Superintendent of Highways under this agreement.
A certified copy of this article shall be filed with
the Clerk of the Legislature of Greene County and the Greene County
Superintendent of Highways under this agreement.[1]
Editor's Note: Former Art. II, Procurement Policy, adopted
3-9-1992, and Art. III, Purchase Requests, adopted 3-9-1996, both
of which immediately followed this article, were repealed 4-2-2018
by L.L. No. 2-2018.
