A.
This article of the Town of Athens, Greene County, New York (the
"Town"), shall be known as the "Grievance Day Establishment Law."
B.
The purpose of this article is to establish the day for the hearing
by the Board of Assessment Review of the Town of Athens of grievances
addressed to real property tax assessments on an alternative date
as permitted by Real Property Tax Law § 512, Subdivision
1-a.
This article shall be applicable to all grievances addressed
to assessment of lands within the Town of Athens and shall be in effect
indefinitely or until modified or repealed by the Town Board of the
Town of Athens.

All grievances addressed to assessments of real property within
the Town of Athens shall be heard by the Board of Assessment Review
of the Town of Athens on the fourth Thursday in May each year.
