The provisions of this article shall apply except when it is
necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or
in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official
traffic control device.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XII (§
117-44), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stop a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIII (§
117-45), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIV (§
117-46), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stop a vehicle during the times specified in Schedule XVI (§
117-48) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle during the times specified in Schedule XVII (§
117-49) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time limit shown in Schedule XVIII (§
117-50) at any time between the hours listed in said schedule of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XIX (§
117-51), attached to and made a part of this chapter, except at the angle designated and only within the painted stall lines. On all streets or portions thereof where angle parking is now or shall hereafter be authorized, all vehicles parked thereon shall be parked with the front thereof nearest the curb.
The locations described in Schedule XX (§
117-52), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as loading zones.
The locations described in Schedule XXI (§
117-53), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as taxi stands.
The locations described in Schedule XXII (§
117-54), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as bus stops.
The locations described in Schedule XXIII (§
117-55), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as fire lanes, and parking and standing are prohibited at all times therein.
The locations described in Schedule XXIV (§
117-56), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby reserved as handicapped parking spaces requiring a special permit to park therein.

A. No person
shall park, stop, or leave standing, any vehicle, whether attended
or unattended, except when necessary to avoid conflict or other traffic,
or in compliance with the directions of a peace officer, or an official
traffic control device on any portion of the sidewalk, or with the
body of the vehicle extending over any portion of the sidewalk.
B. The
sidewalk in that area should be intended for people walking, whether
it be paved with blacktop or made of concrete or other material.
C. The
fine for a violation of this chapter shall be established by the Village
Board from time to time and shall be designated as a fine for parking
in a prohibited area.
