The following rules and regulations shall be observed and the following privileges accorded to full-time, hourly salaried employees of the Tax Office, Department of Public Works, Borough Clerk's office and Police Department, including regular police dispatchers of the Borough of Runnemede.

A. 
The following days are declared as holidays for the said employees, and employees will be granted the day off with pay should the same fall on a working day:

President's Day
Good Friday
Memorial Day
Juneteenth
July 4
Labor Day
Columbus Day
General Election Day
Veterans Day
Thanksgiving Day
Day after Thanksgiving
Christmas Day
B. 
Collective bargaining agreements with any labor unit shall supersede the holidays listed in Subsection A of this section.
C. 
All employees will be entitled to two personal holidays per year. Approval of the department director must be received prior to the use of these personal holidays.

Vacation leave for full-time employees shall be:
A. 
Up to one year of service, one working day for each month of service;
B. 
After one year and up to 10 years of continuous service, 12 working days;
C. 
After 10 years and up to 20 years of continuous service, 15 working days;
D. 
After 20 years of continuous service, 20 working days; and
E. 
Vacation not taken in a given year because of business demands shall accumulate and be granted during the next succeeding year only; except that vacation leave not taken in a given year because of duties directly related to a state of emergency declared by the Governor may accumulate at the discretion of the appointing authority until, pursuant to a plan established by the employee's appointing authority and approved by the commission, the leave is used or the employee is compensated for that leave, which shall not be subject to collective negotiation or collective bargaining.

Full-time employees shall receive a sick leave credit of no less than one working day for each completed month of service during the remainder of the first calendar year of service and 15 working days in every year thereafter. Unused sick leave shall accumulate without limit.

A. 
All full-time employees of the Borough of Runnemede, upon retirement, shall be compensated in accordance with the following schedule:

B. 
Payment of the retirement benefit is conditioned upon the Borough of Runnemede receiving written notice of retirement not less than 120 days prior to the employee's retirement date. For good cause and in special circumstances, the Borough Council can reduce the notice requirement, on a case-by-case basis.

A. 
The employer shall assume the cost of health care, including prescription and dental benefits for an employee and dependents, when said employee retires with 25 years or more of service to the employer; provided, however that the retired employee must contribute to the cost of health care plans to the same extent as active employees.
B. 
Starting at age 65, the employee shall be responsible to obtain Medicare Part B at their own expense. At age 65, the employer's health care plan shall be deemed secondary coverage. The employee shall provide the employer proof of enrollment in Medicare and Medicare Part B.
C. 
Health care coverage, upon retirement under this section, shall be considered a benefit of the employee. The employee shall retain the health care coverage for the employee's life, when all benefits/coverage hereunder shall terminate. After retirement, the health care benefit shall not be expanded (i.e., single coverage cannot become husband and wife coverage). No persons who were not covered by the employee's health care benefit at the time of retirement shall be entitled to be covered after retirement.

(1) 
To receive this health care benefit, the employee must notify the Borough of Runnemede, in writing, not less than 120 days prior to the employee's retirement date.
(2) 
For good cause and in special circumstances the Borough Council can reduce the notice requirement, on a case-by-case basis.
D. 
Employees may elect to waive coverage, both medical and, if applicable, prescription drug coverage provided by the municipality, to which they are entitled. In place of health benefit coverage, the Borough of Runnemede will provide payment in the amount of not more than 25% of the amount saved by the Borough of Runnemede because of the waiver or $5,000, whichever is less. Employees are not eligible for the waiver incentive if their other coverage is with the Borough of Runnemede. Employees must submit proof of the other health care coverage in order to obtain the waiver incentive. Employees may resume coverage when they are no longer covered by the other health coverage, provided they notify the Borough of Runnemede within 60 days of the loss of the other coverage and provide proof of loss of that coverage.

All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed as to such in consistencies only; provided, however, that provisions in prior ordinances as to vacation for regular members of the Police Department shall remain in full force and effect.
