The office of Township Manager is hereby created by the Township of Uwchlan.
The Manager shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors and may be removed by the Board at any time.

The salary of the Township Manager shall be fixed annually by the Board of Supervisors.

The Manager shall be the chief administrative officer of the Township and shall be responsible to the Board for the proper and efficient administration of the affairs of the Township. His powers and duties shall relate to the general management of all Township business not expressly imposed or conferred upon other Township officers by statute. His powers and duties shall include the following:
A. 
He shall supervise the administrative staff and be responsible for the activities of all Township departments other than that of the Police Department.
B. 
Each year, he shall prepare a budget for the Township and submit it to the Board of Supervisors for adoption prior to the beginning of the fiscal year.
C. 
He shall keep the Board fully informed of the financial conditions and future needs of the Township through periodic and special reports.
D. 
He shall prepare agendas for all meetings of the Board.
E. 
He shall serve to bring about a close liaison between departments, committees, commissions or other bodies and the Board of Supervisors so that the Township government may function properly and serve the community to the best advantage.
F. 
In cooperation with the Chief of Police or ranking police officer, he shall see that all laws and ordinances are enforced.
G. 
The Manager shall make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on the hiring and removing of employees on the basis of merit, after consultation with the heads of the several departments.
