Borough of Coopersburg, PA Chapter 5 Auditor

§ 5-1 Appointment of independent auditor.

Borough Council is authorized to appoint an independent auditor who shall be a certified public accountant, registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a firm of certified public accountants so registered or competent public accountant or firm of public accountants.

§ 5-2 Annual appointment by resolution.

Borough Council shall appoint such an independent auditor annually by resolution before the close of the fiscal year.

§ 5-3 Office of elected auditor abolished.

The office of elected Borough Auditor is hereby abolished, subject to the expressed terms and conditions of § 1005(7) of the Borough Code, Act of February 1, 1966 (1965 P.L. 1656, No. 581), as amended.[1]
