The Town Board of the Town of Stanford finds
that the discharge of firearms on Town-owned property is detrimental
to the health, safety and welfare of its residents and creates a nuisance.

No person otherwise than in self-defense or
in the discharge of official duty shall willfully discharge a firearm
on Town-owned property.
As used in this chapter, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
A pistol, revolver, rifle, or shotgun.

A.
Any person committing an offense against the provisions
of this chapter shall be guilty of a violation under the Penal Law
and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine of not
more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
B.
Each discharge of firearms shall constitute a separate
offense.
