The Town Board of the Town of Tuxedo shall provide
for the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices when
and as required under the provisions of this chapter, to make effective
the provisions of this chapter, and may install and maintain such
additional traffic control devices as it may deem necessary to regulate,
warn or guide traffic under the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State
of New York, subject to the provisions of §§ 1682 and
1684 of that law.

A. Every person violating any provision of this chapter
which is not an offense against any provision of the Vehicle and Traffic
Law of the State of New York shall be deemed guilty of a traffic infraction
and shall, for a first conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of
not less than $50 nor more than $100 or by imprisonment for not more
than 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; for a second
such conviction within 18 months thereafter, such person shall be
punished by a fine of not less than $100 nor more than $200 or by
imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment;
upon a third or subsequent conviction within 18 months after the first
conviction, such person shall be punished by a fine of not less than
$250 nor more than $500 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days,
or by both such fine and imprisonment.
B. In order to provide an efficient, orderly method of enforcing fines for violations of Article
III, “Stopping, Standing and Parking,” of this chapter, the Town Board is hereby authorized to adopt, by resolution from time to time, a standard schedule of fines for violations of Article
III, which fines may be paid to satisfy the violation by delivering such fine to the Town via US Mail or other delivery method within 30 days of the violation. The person receiving the violation shall be responsible for such delivery. Such fine shall be deemed paid upon receipt. Those wishing to contest the violation shall be governed by Subsection
A hereof.
