The purpose of this article is to provide a tax exemption upon real property to persons domiciled in the Town of Wawayanda based upon the maximum income eligibility level for such persons who are permanently disabled and whose income is limited by reason thereof to the extent allowed by § 459-c of Real Property Tax Law.
Improvements made by the person or persons qualified for this exemption for use and accessibility by such person prior to the adoption of this article shall be included by the Assessor in the determination of the exemption upon such proof as required in Real Property Tax Law § 459-c.

As provided in Subdivision 5, paragraph (a), of Real Property Tax Law § 459-c, the value of (M) as it is used herein shall be $29,000 in order to permit partial exemptions on the basis of the following income ranges:

All other terms and provisions of Real Property Tax Law § 459-c shall apply with the same force and effect to any exemption granted under this article.
