The purpose of this article shall be to promote a clean environment in the Village parks and on other Village property by prohibiting the presence of dogs.

It shall be unlawful for any owner of or any person harboring any dog in the Village of Yorkville to permit or allow such dog, whether or not tagged or licensed and whether or not attended or unattended, to enter into any public park in the Village of Yorkville either owned or operated by said Village.

It shall be unlawful for the owner or person in control of any dog to permit such animal to urinate or deposit feces on any public property, alley or other public place or on any premises other than those of the owner or person in control of such dog. In the event that the owner of any dog is a minor and said dog is harbored on the property of said minor's parent or parents, guardian or guardians or any other relative, said parent, guardian or other relative shall be responsible and be liable for fines and other penalties hereinafter provided.

No person, firm or corporation shall keep or maintain within the Village of Yorkville any chickens, ducks, geese or other fowl, pigs, cows, horses, foxes or any other animals except dogs and cats. Exotic birds are to be housed exclusively indoors.
