The purpose of this chapter is for the protection and preservation of the property of the Village of Yorkville consisting of Village parks and other areas and to establish rules and regulations for the use, care, maintenance, protection, preservation and enjoyment thereof by the residents of the Village of Yorkville.

The parks shall be open to the general public hereafter between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. each day and at other times as may be authorized by the Village Board of Trustees.
All vehicles shall be operated and/or parked only upon clearly marked and designated parking areas.
There shall be no willful damage or destruction of park property. Park property shall include but not be limited to appliances, buildings, trees, fences, shrubs and amusement and convenience fixtures and appendages.
Organized groups must obtain permission from the Village Board if the group exceeds 15 in number.

It shall be unlawful for any owner of or any person harboring any dog in the Village of Yorkville to permit or allow such dog, whether or not attended or unattended, to enter into any public park in the Village of Yorkville either owned or operated by the said Village.

Parking is for park use only and only during park hours. All others will be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.

Any person who shall commit an offense against any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of a violation pursuant to the Penal Law of the State of New York, punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
