A. 
In order to facilitate the movement of traffic and combat the congestion caused by construction or other events, the Borough of Jersey Shore may, at its discretion, from time to time declare certain streets as no-parking zones in order to protect the health, safety and welfare of the Borough residents and all those making use of the streets of the Borough.
B. 
The authority to enact and adopt this article is derived from the Borough Code Act of 1965, P.L. 1656, No. 581, Article XII, Corporate Powers.[1]

A. 
It is prohibited for any person to park a motor vehicle or to allow a motor vehicle in any area designated as "No Parking." Said no-parking areas will be clearly marked with signs and other methods deemed necessary by the Borough or the Borough Police.
B. 
The areas of "No Parking" may be established by the Borough and/or the Borough Police. Said areas may change at the discretion of the Borough and/or the Borough Police. Said areas are not permanent no-parking areas unless the Borough passes an ordinance establishing the same. Prior notice of the establishment of a no-parking area is not required by this article.
A. 
If at any time a person parks a motor vehicle in a no-parking area or if a person allows a motor vehicle to remain parked anywhere in a no-parking area, said person shall be guilty of a violation of this article and, upon summary conviction of the same, shall be sentenced to pay such fine as is permitted by law and shall pay costs.
B. 
It is the intent of this article that "such fine as is permitted by law" shall mean such fine as permitted by the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code, as amended from time to time.
This article can be enforced by any Police Department having proper jurisdiction in the Borough of Jersey Shore.
