GENERAL REFERENCES

No person, partnership, association, club or corporation shall maintain, conduct or pursue the business or occupation of keeping any bowling alley, billiard or pool room, ice or roller skating rink, motion-picture theater or open-air drive-in theater without a license to do so as hereinafter provided.
Applications for a license shall be filed with the Director of the Department of Licenses and Inspections on forms to be furnished by the Department of Licenses and Inspections, which forms shall require the following information:
A. 
The name of the applicant.
B. 
Address and phone number of applicant.
C. 
Whether or not the applicant has ever been convicted of a crime or violation of a City ordinance involving gambling.
D. 
In the case of a corporation, the names and addresses of the officers and all stockholders presently holding stock and all who, for six months prior to the making of said application, have held stock or who have been officers.
All licenses herein provided for shall be granted and issued by the Director of the Department of Licenses and Inspections. All such licenses shall be valid from the first day of January of the year in which the license is issued until the 31st day of December next after granting the same, unless sooner revoked.
The Director of the Department of Licenses and Inspections may refuse to grant a license to any person who has been convicted of a crime or a violation of any City ordinance involving gambling.
Such licenses shall bear the date of issue, the name of the person to whom issued and the purpose for which issued and the location of the room or building wherein the licensee is authorized to carry on and conduct any such business. Such license may be transferred by the holder to another address, provided that the licensee makes application, in writing, for such transfer to the City Council.
The fees to be paid for such license to carry on and conduct any bowling alley, billiard or pool room, ice or roller skating rink, motion-picture theater or open-air drive-in theater, respectively, are as follows:
A. 
Bowling alleys: $20 per alley.
B. 
Billiard or pool room: $15 per table.
C. 
Ice or roller skating rink: $75.
D. 
Indoor motion-picture theater: $50 per screen.
E. 
Outdoor motion-picture theater: $150.
The license, when granted, shall be posted and conspicuously displayed in the place of business of the licensee.
Any license granted hereunder may be revoked by the Mayor, the City Council or the Judge of the Municipal Court after notice and due hearing upon proof for cause.
