This chapter shall be known as the "Bordentown City Election
District Ordinance."
In accordance with the Burlington County Board of Elections,
due to population changes and other concerns documented during Census
2020, new boundaries for election districts were required to meet
New Jersey Statutes Title 15 (N.J.A.C. 15:10-3, Election District
Maps) and Title 19 (N.J.S.A. 19:4-13, Election) guidelines and the
City's current needs. The City of Bordentown, County of Burlington,
State of New Jersey, is hereby divided into six election districts,
with boundaries as hereinafter specified to be known respectively
as the First Ward, First District; First Ward, Second District; Second
Ward, First District; Second Ward, Second District; and Third Ward,
First District; Third Ward, Second District:
A.Â
FIRST WARD, FIRST DISTRICT. The First Election District of the First
Ward of the City of Bordentown shall include all of the territory
and inhabitants thereof contained in an area which is bounded and
described as follows: Beginning at a point where the physical center
line of Mill Street is intersected by the center line of Blacks Creek
(a waterway), which is also the Township of Bordentown and City of
Bordentown, Burlington County, shared border; thence northerly, various
courses, following along the center line of Blacks Creek (a waterway),
which is also the Township of Bordentown and City of Bordentown, Burlington
County, shared border, to a point where said boundary intersects the
physical center line of West Burlington Street; thence east, following
along the physical center line of West Burlington Street, to a point
where said boundary is intersected by the physical center line of
Farnsworth Avenue (County Route 545) and the physical center line
of East Burlington Street; thence southeast, following along the physical
center line of Farnsworth Avenue (County Route 545), to its point
of intersection with the physical center line of West Union Street
and the physical center line of East Union Street; proceed northeast,
following along the physical center line of East Union Street, to
its point of intersection with the physical center line of Reeder
Avenue; continue southeast, following along the physical center line
of Reeder Avenue, to its point of intersection with the physical center
line of West Chestnut Street and the physical center line of East
Chestnut Street; turn southwest, following along the physical center
line of West Chestnut Street, to its point of intersection with the
center line of Farnsworth Avenue (County Route 545); thence southeast,
following along the physical center line of Farnsworth Avenue (County
Route 54), to its point of intersection with the physical center line
of Mill Street, which is also a point on the Township of Bordentown
and City of Bordentown, Burlington County, shared border; proceed
southwesterly, following along the physical center line of Mill Street,
which is also the Township of Bordentown and City of Bordentown, Burlington
County, shared border, to a point where said boundary intersects the
center line of Blacks Creek (a waterway), which is also another point
on the Township of Bordentown and City of Bordentown, Burlington County,
shared border and the point of beginning.
B.Â
FIRST WARD, SECOND DISTRICT. The Second Election District of the
First Ward of the City of Bordentown shall include all of the territory
and inhabitants thereof contained in an area which is bounded and
described as follows: Thence northwest, following along the physical
center line of Farnsworth Avenue (County Route 545), to a point where
said boundary intersects with a point on the physical center line
of Crosswicks Street (County Route 528); continue southeasterly, following
along the physical center line of physical center line of Crosswicks
Street (County Route 528), crossing over the right-of-way line of
the N.J.S.H. U.S. Routes 130 and 206, to another point where said
boundary intersects the Township of Bordentown and City of Bordentown,
Burlington County, shared border; thence southwesterly, various courses,
following along the Township of Bordentown and City of Bordentown,
Burlington County, shared border, crossing over the right-of-way line
of the N.J.S.H. U.S. Routes 130 and 206, to a point where said boundary
intersects with another point on the physical center line of Farnsworth
Avenue (County Route 545); thence northwest, following along the physical
center line of Farnsworth Avenue (County Route 545), to its point
of intersection with the physical center line of West Chestnut Street
and the physical center line of East Chestnut Street; proceed northeast,
following along the physical center line of East Chestnut Street,
to its point of intersection with the physical center line of Reeder
Avenue; continue northwest, following along the physical center line
of Reeder Avenue, to its point of intersection with the physical center
line of West Union Street and the physical center line of Easy Union
Street; turn southwest, following along the physical center line of
West Union Street, to its point of intersection with the physical
center line of Farnsworth Avenue (County Route 545); thence northwest,
following along the physical center line of Farnsworth Avenue (County
Route 545), to its point of intersection with the physical center
line of Crosswicks Street (County Route 527), which is also the point
of beginning.

SECOND WARD, FIRST DISTRICT. The First Election District of the Second
Ward of the City of Bordentown shall include all of the territory
and inhabitants thereof contained in an area which is bounded and
described as follows: Beginning at a point where the physical center
line of Crosswicks Street (County Route 528) is intersected by a point
on the Township of Bordentown and City of Bordentown, Burlington County,
shared border; thence northwesterly, following along the physical
center line of Crosswicks Street (County Route 528), crossing over
the right-of-way line of the N.J.S.H. U.S. Routes 130 and 206, to
a point where said boundary intersects with the physical center line
of Spring Street; thence northwest, following along the physical center
line of Spring Street, to a point where said boundary intersects with
the center line of Conrail P.C.T. Co. (United New Jersey Railroad
and Canal Company, Camden to Amboy Main Line) (a railroad); thence
northeasterly, following along the center line of Conrail P.C.T. Co.
(United New Jersey Railroad and Canal Company, Camden to Amboy Main
Line) (a railroad), crossing over the center line of Thorntown Creek
or Run (a waterway), to a point where said boundary intersects with
another point on the Township of Bordentown and City of Bordentown,
Burlington County shared border; thence southerly, following along
the Township of Bordentown and City of Bordentown, Burlington County,
shared border, crossing over the right-of-way line of the N.J.S.H.
U.S. Routes 130 and 206, to a point where said boundary intersects
with the physical center line of Crosswicks Street (County Route 528),
which is another point on the Township of Bordentown and City of Bordentown,
Burlington County, shared border, and is also the point of beginning.

SECOND WARD, SECOND DISTRICT. The Second Election District of the
Second Ward of the City of Bordentown shall include all of the territory
and inhabitants thereof contained in an area which is bounded and
described as follows: Beginning at a point where the physical center
line of Crosswicks Street (County Route 528) is intersected by a point
on the physical center line of Spring Street; thence northwesterly,
following along the physical center line of Crosswicks Street (County
Route 528), to a point where said boundary intersects with the physical
center line of Farnsworth Avenue (County Route 545), and the physical
center line of Walnut Street; continue westerly, following along the
physical center line of Walnut Street, to a point where said boundary
intersects with a point on the physical center line of Prince Street;
proceed northwest, following along the physical center line of Prince
Street, to a point where said boundary intersects with a point on
the physical center line of West Church Street; thence easterly, following
along the physical center line of West Church Street, to a point where
said boundary intersects with the physical center line of Farnsworth
Avenue (County Route 545) and the physical center line of East Church
Street; thence northwest, following along the physical center line
of Farnsworth Avenue (County Route 545), to a point where said boundary
intersects with the physical center line of Spring Street; thence
southeast, following along the physical center line of Spring Street,
to its point of intersection with the physical center line of Crosswicks
Street (County Route 528), which is also the point of beginning.

THIRD WARD, FIRST DISTRICT. The First Election District of the Third
Ward of the City of Bordentown shall include all of the territory
and inhabitants thereof contained in an area which is bounded and
described as follows: Beginning at a point where the center line of
Conrail P.C.T. Co. (United New Jersey Railroad and Canal Company,
Camden to Amboy Main Line) (a railroad) is intersected by a point
on the Township of Bordentown and City of Bordentown, Burlington County,
shared border; thence southwesterly, following along the center line
of Conrail P.C.T. Co. (United New Jersey Railroad and Canal Company,
Camden to Amboy Main Line) (a railroad), to a point where said boundary
intersects with the physical center line of Farnsworth Avenue (County
Route 545); thence northwest, following along the extended physical
center line of Farnsworth Avenue (County Route 545), to a point where
said boundary intersects the center line of Crosswicks Creek (a waterway),
which is also the City of Bordentown, Burlington County, and Township
of Hamilton, Mercer County, shared; thence northeasterly, various
courses, following along the center line of Crosswicks Creek (a waterway),
which is also the City of Bordentown, Burlington County, and Township
of Hamilton, Mercer County, shared border, to a point where said boundary
intersects the center line of the Mile Hollow Brook (a waterway),
which is also another point on the Township of Bordentown and City
of Bordentown, Burlington County, shared border; thence southeasterly,
various courses, following along the center line of the Mile Hollow
Brook (a waterway), which is also the Township of Bordentown and City
of Bordentown, Burlington County, shared border, to a point where
said boundary intersects the center line of Conrail P.C.T. Co. (United
New Jersey Railroad and Canal Company, Camden to Amboy Main Line)
(a railroad), which is also another point on the Township of Bordentown
and City of Bordentown, Burlington County, shared border and is also
the point of beginning.

THIRD WARD, SECOND DISTRICT. The Second Election District of the
Third Ward of the City of Bordentown shall include all of the territory
and inhabitants thereof contained in an area which is bounded and
described as follows: Beginning at a point where the center line of
Conrail P.C.T. Co. (United New Jersey Railroad and Canal Company,
Camden to Amboy Main Line) (a railroad) is intersected by a point
on the physical center line of Farnworth Avenue (County Route 545);
thence southeast, following along the physical center line of Farnsworth
Avenue (County Route 545), to a point where said boundary intersects
the physical center line of East Church Street and the physical center
line of West Church Street; thence westerly, following along the physical
center line of West Church Street, to its point of intersection with
the physical center line of Prince Street; proceed southerly, following
along the physical center line of Prince Street, to its point of intersection
with the physical center line of Crosswicks Street (County Route 528);
thence easterly, following along the physical center line of Crosswicks
Street (County Route 528), to a point where said boundary intersects
the physical center line of Farnsworth Avenue (County Route 545);
thence southeast, following along the physical center line of Farnsworth
Avenue (County Route 545), to a point where said boundary intersects
the physical center line of East Burlington Street; proceed northwesterly,
following along the physical center line of East Burlington Street,
which transitions into the physical center line of West Burlington
Street, to a point where said boundary intersects the center line
of Blacks Creek (a waterway), which is also the Township of Bordentown
and City of Bordentown, Burlington County, shared border; thence northerly,
various courses, following along the center line of Blacks Creek (a
waterway), which is also the Township of Bordentown and City of Bordentown,
Burlington County, shared border, to a point where said boundary intersects
the center line of Crosswicks Creek (a waterway), which is also the
City of Bordentown, Burlington County, and Township of Hamilton, Mercer
County, shared border; thence northeasterly, various courses, following
along the center line of Crosswicks Creek (a waterway), which is also
the City of Bordentown, Burlington County, and Township of Hamilton,
Mercer County, shared border, to a point where said boundary intersect
the extended physical center line of Farnsworth Avenue (County Route
545), which is also another point on the Township of Bordentown and
City of Bordentown, Burlington County, shared border; thence southeast,
following along the extended physical center line of Farnsworth Avenue
(County Route 545), to a point where said boundary intersects with
