The name of the Authority shall be "Lehigh Township Municipal Authority."

The Lehigh Township Municipal Authority is organized and established for the purpose of acquiring, holding, constructing, improving, maintaining, and operating, owning or leasing, either in the capacity of lessor or lessee, a water supply system for the distribution of water to the residents of the Village of Treichlers.
A. 
In accordance with the Articles of Incorporation adopted by the Township Board of Supervisors there is created the Lehigh Township Municipal Authority.

B. 
Said Authority shall consist of five members each appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
C. 
The terms of appointment of members to the said Authority shall be for five years, provided, however, that the terms and names of the members first appointed to the Authority is as follows.[1]

The members of the said Authority shall serve without compensation and shall be residents of Treichlers, Lehigh Township.
A. 
Vacancies on the Authority shall be filled by the Board of Supervisors.
B. 
Any appointment to fill a vacancy shall be for the unexpired portion of the term.
The Authority members shall elect their own Chairman, Secretary and other officers as appropriate.
The Authority shall keep a record of all its resolutions, transactions, findings, actions and determinations.
The Authority shall have such powers and perform such duties as set forth in the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945,[1] as amended, and such other powers, duties and responsibilities as prescribed by action of the Township Board and the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
