It is the desire of the Board of Supervisor's of the Township of Raccoon, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and said Board of Supervisors hereby signifies its intention to organize a municipal authority pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Authorities Act of 1945 P.L. 382, as amended.[1]

In pursuance of said desire and intention and in conformity with the terms and provisions of said Municipal Authorities Act and its amendments, the proposed Articles of Incorporation are hereby set forth in full as follows.[1]

The project to be undertaken by said Authority is hereby specified to be the acquiring, holding, constructing, improving, maintaining, owning, operating, and leasing, either in the capacity of lessor or lessee, of water works, facilities, distribution lines or parts thereto, facilities and equipment for supplying water to domestic or commercial users within Raccoon Township or to operate in conjunction with other municipalities or municipal authorities.
The proposed Articles of Incorporation of said Authority shall be executed by and on behalf of the Township of Raccoon by the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, the seal of the said Township shall be thereto affixed and attested by the Secretary. The Solicitor is authorized and directed to cause to be published a notice of intention to file Articles of Incorporation as required by the aforementioned act and when said Articles of Incorporation are properly executed by the incorporating municipality, the same shall be filed with the Secretary of the Commonwealth.
