Certain roads and streets located within Shirley
Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, are hereby declared snow
emergency routes:

It shall be unlawful for any person to park
any vehicle, tractor or trailer or allow the same to remain parked
or unattended on a paved or improved section of any street hereby
declared a snow emergency route, as set forth above, at any time during
or after any snowfall when the depth of that snowfall shall have reached
or exceeded three inches.
At such time as it may be deemed necessary,
the Supervisors of Shirley Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania,
or their designee may declare a snow emergency requiring that all
vehicles be removed from the aforesaid Township roads and streets
until the snowfall has ceased and the streets have been cleared of
any accumulated snow. Any such snow emergency declaration shall be
provided to local media for public broadcast and publication.
It shall be lawful to repark any vehicle, tractor
or trailer on the paved or improved portion of the aforementioned
roads after the snowfall has ceased and the accumulated snow shall
have been cleared from the paved portions by the employees of the
Township, but not before such time.
The Township shall erect and maintain official
snow emergency route signs, which will be posted before the provisions
of this article may be enforced.
The Supervisors of Shirley Township and/or their
designated municipal employees, finding any vehicle parked in violation
of any provision of this article, may issue a notice of parking violation,
with said notice to indicate that the Township will impose a fine
of $50, plus the costs of towing and storage of any vehicle found
in violation, and costs of prosecution, and in default of payment
of such fine and costs, of the person violating this article, to undergo
imprisonment for not more than five days. The continuation of any
violation of any provision of this article for a period of more than
eight hours shall constitute a new and separate offense for each successive
eight-hour period.
