No person shall carry on the business of an auctioneer or common crier without first obtaining a license for that purpose as provided in this chapter.
Applications for licenses required by this chapter shall be made to the Village Clerk on forms supplied by the Village Clerk.
Licenses required by this chapter shall be issued by the Village Clerk upon the filing of a proper application and payment of the required license fee.

The fee for a license issued pursuant to this chapter shall be $25 for a nonprofit auctioneer's license. The fee for an auctioneer's license issued to a business organized for profit shall be $750 per year.
All licenses issued pursuant to this chapter shall expire on the 31st day of December of each year.
Any license granted under this chapter may be revoked by the Board of Commissioners when, in its judgment, the public good may require, on 10 days' notice to the licensee of a hearing before the Board of Commissioners for the purpose of revoking the same.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall be punishable, upon conviction, as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II, General Penalty.
