The provisions of this Article shall apply except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device.
Whenever the pavement or curb of any street or highway is marked or painted or signs are placed to indicate spaces for parking, every vehicle parked there shall be parked within the space or spaces so indicated.
No vehicle shall be parked on any New York State highway within the corporate limits of the Village of Montgomery, New York, between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. during the period beginning December 1, and ending March 1 of the following year.
The parking of vehicles is prohibited at all times in those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule IX (§ 114-38).
The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited in the locations described in Schedule X (§ 114-39) during the times indicated on any day except Sundays and holidays, unless otherwise indicated.
The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited in the locations described in Schedule XI (§ 114-40) for a longer period of time than that designated, during the hours indicated on any day except Sundays and holidays.
The standing of vehicles at any time is hereby prohibited in the locations described in Schedule XII (§ 114-41).
The stopping of vehicles at any time is hereby prohibited in the locations described in Schedule XIII (§ 114-42).
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XIV (§ 114-43) except at the angle designated.
It shall be unlawful for any person to place, park or leave any automobile, truck or other vehicle on any public road or street, except a New York State highway, within the corporate limits of the Village of Montgomery, New York, after a fall or precipitation of snow of two inches of snow or more, and thereafter until the snow has been removed or cleared from such public road or street unless such automobile, truck or other vehicle is at all times attended by and in charge of a person capable of operating it. All other vehicles will be towed away by the Police Department at the owner's expense.
