No person shall fire or discharge any gun or
other firearm within the limits of the Borough, except in necessary
defense of a person or persons.

Any person who violates any provision of § 162-1 or 162-2, upon conviction in a summary proceeding, may be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $300 and costs of prosecution, and in default of payment of fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than 10 days.
It is the intent of the Borough that this chapter
be supplementary and not contrary to the Constitutions of the United
States and of Pennsylvania, any laws of either federal or state government,
and any regulations of agencies and departments of either. Should
any part of this chapter be declared invalid because of any such conflict,
or for any other reason, the provisions of those sections shall be
deemed severable, so that the unaffected portions of this chapter
shall remain in full force and effect.
