[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees

A.
After due consideration, the Board of Trustees for
the Village of Millerton has determined that it would be in the best
interest of the residents of the Village of Millerton to permit games
of chance to be conducted in the Village pursuant to the terms and
conditions of the Town of North East's Gaming Law.
B.
The Board of Trustees has further determined that
licenses for the conducting of such games of chance should be issued
by the Town of North East pursuant to the Town's Gaming Law.
Upon the effective date of this chapter, games
of chance permitted under the Town of North East's Gaming Law shall
be permitted within the Village of Millerton, provided that a license
for such games of chance shall first be obtained from the Town of
North East. Any games of chance conducted within the Village of Millerton
shall be performed in compliance with the terms and conditions of
the Town of North East's Gaming Law.
The adoption of this chapter shall be subject
to the filing of a petition pursuant to § 9-900 of the Village
Law within 30 days of the effective date protesting against the enactment
of the said law and requesting that the said chapter be submitted
to the qualified electors of the Village of Millerton for their approval
or disapproval.[1]
