Pursuant to the authority granted by Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut, a Redevelopment Agency is hereby reconstituted and established for the City of Meriden, with all the powers and duties specified in said General Statutes.
A. 
The Agency shall consist of five members who shall be resident electors and who shall be appointed by the City Manager with the approval of the City Council.
B. 
The members first appointed shall be designated to serve one, two, three, four and five years, respectively, and upon expiration of said terms thereafter members shall be appointed annually to serve for five years. Each member shall serve until his successor is appointed and qualified, and any vacancy shall be filled for the unexpired term.
C. 
The members of said Agency shall serve without compensation but may be reimbursed for necessary expenses.
A. 
Action by said Agency shall be taken only on majority vote of all the members, and said Agency shall select from among its members a Chairman and Vice Chairman.
B. 
Said Agency may employ a secretary and such other officers, agents, technical consultants, legal counsel and employees as it requires.
