The curbstone market shall be held on both sides of Mill Street, from Mahoning Street to Bloom Street, on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday of each and every week. The market shall close at 1:00 p.m. and all vendors must vacate the market by 1:30 p.m. No vendor shall occupy any portion of the street herein set apart for market purposes in such a manner as to obstruct public travel. The times and location of market may be changed by Council for special occasions.

No car, truck or other vehicle containing articles for market shall be permitted to occupy the street in any other position than being legally parked. No person attending market shall be permitted to occupy by a table, bench, box or otherwise more than 1/2 the width of the sidewalk, measuring from the sidewalk curb inward.
There shall be no fee for any person attending the market for the purpose of selling such commodities as come within the meaning of this chapter, but such person must pay the parking meter fees for the parking stalls occupied by his or her market stand.
Any person who shall violate any provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine of not more than $300 and costs of such proceedings or, upon default of payment of such fines and costs, by imprisonment in the county jail for a term of not more than 30 days. The continuation of such violation for each successive day shall constitute a separate offense, and the person or persons allowing or permitting the continuation of the violation may be punished as provided above for each separate offense.

It shall be the duty of the Danville Borough Police Department and the Danville Borough Health Officer to enforce the terms of this chapter.
