The Borough of Danville hereby annexes all that
territory owned by the Borough of Danville in Mahoning Township, which
is adjacent to and north of the said Borough of Danville, which is
more particularly described as follows:
A.Â
All those two certain pieces, parcels and tracts of
land situate in Mahoning Township, Montour County, Pennsylvania, more
particularly bounded and described as follows:
(1)Â
The first thereof. Beginning at a point on the Danville
Borough-Mahoning Township line, which point is south eighty-nine (89)
degrees forty-four (44) minutes east a distance of six hundred-seventy-one
and five tenths (671.5) feet from an existing corner of the northern
boundary line between Mahoning Township and the Borough of Danville;
thence north thirty-four (34) degrees forty-seven (47) minutes west
a distance of two hundred one and seven hundredths (201.07) feet to
a point; thence north forty-five (45) degrees forty-four (44) minutes
west a distance of seven hundred forty-two and twenty-five hundredths
(742.25) feet to a point; thence north seventy-one (71) degrees ten
(10) minutes east a distance of five hundred ninety-three (593) feet
to a point; thence south twenty-five (25) degrees ten (10) minutes
east a distance of four hundred twenty (420) feet to a point; thence
south fifty-three (53) degrees ten (10) minutes east a distance of
two hundred nine (209) feet to a point; thence north fifty-seven (57)
degrees ten (10) minutes east a distance of nineteen and fifty hundredths
(19.50) feet to a point; thence south twenty-two (22) degrees thirty-six
(36) minutes east a distance of sixty-eight and forty-seven hundredths
(68.47) feet to a point; thence south twenty-five (25) degrees twenty-nine
(29) minutes east a distance of ninety-two and ninety-four hundredths
(92.94) feet to a point; thence south forty-five (45) degrees fourteen
(14) minutes east a distance of one hundred thirty-eight and sixty-three
hundredths (138.63) feet to a point; thence south ten (10) degrees
seventeen (17) minutes west a distance of one hundred thirty-nine
and five tenths (139.5) feet to a point on the Mahoning Township-Danville
Borough line; thence south eighty-nine (89) degrees forty-four (44)
minutes east a distance of four hundred sixteen and seven tenths (416.7)
feet to a point, the place of beginning, containing ten and eight
tenths (10.8) acres of land.

The second thereof. Beginning at a point on the Mahoning
Township-Borough of Danville line, which point is south eighty-nine
(89) degrees forty-four (44) minutes east a distance of one thousand two
hundred ninety-six and two tenths (1,296.2) feet from
an existing corner on the northern boundary line between Mahoning
Township and the Borough of Danville; thence north thirty-one (31)
degrees twenty-two (22) minutes west a distance of one hundred twenty-five
and seven tenths (125.7) feet to a point; thence north fifteen (15)
degrees thirty-seven (37) minutes west a distance of one hundred and
seven tenths (100.7) feet to a point; thence north twelve (12) degrees
seven (7) minutes west a distance of two hundred fifty and eight tenths
(250.8) feet to a point; thence north eight (8) degrees fifty-two
(52) minutes west a distance of six hundred twenty-three and seven
tenths (623.7) feet to a point; thence north fifty-five (55) degrees
thirty-eight (38) minutes east a distance of three hundred ninety-seven
and seven tenths (397.7) feet to a point; thence north thirty-four
(34) degrees twenty-two (22) minutes west a distance of five hundred
forty-nine and nine tenths (549.9) feet to a point; thence north fifty-five
(55) degrees thirty-eight (38) minutes east a distance of two hundred
nineteen and five tenths (219.5) feet to a point; thence north thirty-four
(34) degrees twenty-two (22) minutes west a distance of ninety-eight
(98) feet to a point; thence north fifty-five (55) degrees thirty-eight
(38) minutes east a distance of four hundred seventy-one and four
tenths (471.4) feet to a point; thence north thirty-four (34) degrees
twenty-two (22) minutes west a distance of four hundred thirty-nine
and nine tenths (439.9) feet to a point; thence north fifty-five (55)
degrees twenty-seven (27) minutes east a distance of eight hundred
seventy and four tenths (870.4) feet to a point; thence south fifteen
(15) degrees thirty-seven (37) minutes east a distance of one thousand
three hundred fifteen and one tenth (1,315.1) feet to a point; thence
south forty-eight (48) degrees eight (8) minutes west a distance of
seven hundred twenty-six (726) feet to a point; thence south fourteen
(14) degrees twenty-three (23) minutes west a distance of four hundred
ninety-five (495) feet to a point; thence north eighty-one (81) degrees
eight (8) minutes east a distance of three hundred thirty and sixty-eight
hundredths (330.68) feet to a point; thence south six (6) degrees
twenty-five (25) minutes east a distance of two hundred twenty-six
and 93 hundredths (226.93) feet to a point; thence north sixty-two
(62) degrees thirty-five (35) minutes east a distance of one hundred
ninety-three and five hundredths (193.05) feet to a point; thence
south twenty-seven (27) degrees twelve (12) minutes east a distance
of seven hundred forty-two and sixty-eight hundredths (742.68) feet
to a point; thence south seventy-three (73) degrees fifty-seven (57)
minutes west a distance of four hundred thirty-four (434) feet to
a point; thence north nine (9) degrees twenty (20) minutes west a
distance of fifty-five (55) feet to a point; thence north zero (0)
degrees fifty-seven (57) minutes west a distance of seventy-nine and
one tenth (79.1) feet to a point; thence north eight (8) degrees twelve
(12) minutes east a distance of fifty-three and seven tenths (53.7)
feet to a point; thence south seventy-three (73) degrees forty-four
(44) minutes west a distance of four hundred thirty-eight and twenty-eight
hundredths (438.28) feet to a point; thence north eighty-nine (89)
degrees forty-four (44) minutes west a distance of five hundred seventy-six
and ninety-eight hundredths (576.98) feet to the point, the place
of beginning, containing sixty-two and six tenths (62.6) acres of
land.

The above two tracts of land are more fully set forth
on the map of the Borough of Danville as surveyed in December, 1967,
by W.G. Murdock, R. E., and platted by F.O. Yohn, R. E.
C.Â
The above two tracts of land are a part of the same
premises which the Reading Iron Company, by a series of four deeds,
granted and conveyed unto the Borough of Danville, said deeds being
dated February 28, 1927, and duly recorded in the Office of the Recorder
of Deeds in and for Montour County, Pennsylvania, in Deed Book 39,
page 651; deed dated November 2, 1936, and duly recorded in Deed Book
46, page 665; deed dated July 27, 1939, and duly recorded in Deed
Book 48, page 573; and deed dated June 1, 1940, and duly recorded
in Deed Book 49, page 431.
D.Â
Said territory shall be admitted, annexed and added
to the Borough of Danville in the following manner: Parcel No. 1 or
"the first thereof" shall be a part and parcel of the Third Ward of
the Borough of Danville and Parcel No. 2 or "the second thereof" shall
be admitted, annexed and added to the Borough of Danville as part
and parcel of the Fourth Ward.
The proper officers of the Borough of Danville,
as required by law, are hereby authorized and directed to file a plan
of the territory annexed in the Office of the County Commissioners
of Montour County and with the Clerk of the Court in the Court of
Common Pleas of the 26th Judicial District, Montour County Branch,
Quarter Sessions Division, and a copy of such ordinance shall be certified
to the Department of Community Affairs.
